WHAT IS HYPNOSIS? Hypnosis is a way to relax your body and your conscious mind, which in turn allows your subconscious to be more open and accessible. In this relaxed state, your subconscious will readily accept positive suggestions and visualizations, such as for improving your study skills and taking exams without fear.

Whether you’re in grammar school, high school, college, or studying for a professional degree or certification, improving your ability to study will help you achieve the success you desire.

Each session is tailored to your specific needs, but in general we address your motivation to study, your increased ability to focus and concentrate, and your ease at remembering the material as needed. We visualize your being organized, calm, relaxed, and very focused and clear about your goals. If there is a procrastination problem, that too is addressed and released.

For the test-taking session, we again tailor it to your specific requirements. In general, we visualize your waking up on the morning of your test, feeling refreshed and confident. In the previous sessions, you learned relaxation tools, which you may use as needed to get yourself nicely relaxed and calm. We use post-hypnotic suggestions for total mental acuity and clarity, and the ability to easily remember the material you studied. You imagine taking the test in detail, feeling alert, confident, and focused, with all the information coming back easily and effortlessly.

Optimally, we’ll have three sessions: (1) a general stress reduction session, wherein you learn self-hypnosis, relaxation tools, and we reinforce your goals and remember your past successes. From this session alone, you feel more confident, relaxed, and motivated . . . and definitely less stressed.

Session two addresses the improved study skills, and session three the test-taking procedure. You also learn a “Go to an 8 Technique,” that allows you to instantly attain physical relaxation, emotional calmness, and mental acuity. We imagine the “end state” that you desire, such as passing the test, achieving the degree, establishing your career--whatever your specific goals are--and the subconscious then has a blueprint for your success! Each session is taped, so you reinforce what we do in session each time you play your tape at home.
