HYPNOTHERAPY:
TREATING ANXIETY & STRESS

WHAT IS HYPNOSIS? Hypnosis is a simply a way to relax your body and your conscious mind, which in turn allows your subconscious to be more open and accessible. In this state, your subconscious will accept positive suggestions, such as for improved management of anxiety and stress in your life.

It is common knowledge nowadays that anxiety and stress can adversely affect health. In fact, a study by Dr. Howard Friedman of UC Irvine concluded that chronic emotional stress doubles a person’s chances of serious disease. That makes stress a stronger risk factor than smoking! It is known that excessive stress hormones can impair the immune system and raise blood pressure and cholesterol levels.

What’s worse is that literally hundreds of factors in our busy day-to-day lives can cause stress and generalized anxiety – from noise to resentment, from fatigue to emotional upsets. Your anxiety may have several underlying causes. When examined individually, they may seem insignificant; yet their cumulative effect can lessen your joy in life and even cause illness and disease.

But the good news is that, while you may not be able to change the world, you can change your reaction to it. And hypnotherapy, which harnesses the power of your own subconscious, enables you to actually reprogram your reaction to anxiety and stress and to be able to let go and relax. You’ll learn several relaxation tools that will lower your anxiety and stress level and allow you to relax at will.

Specifically, we will work together to:

  • Incorporate new responses to anxiety and stressful situations.
  • Help you become a calmer, healthier, more effective person.
  • et and affirm any other goals you have for yourself.

Hypnotherapy for anxiety and stress reduction is individually tailored for your specific needs. But in general we take a look at when you feel anxiety and stress, and we program new ways to lower and dissipate those negative emotions. You’ll feel over all more calm and in control.

In addition, the vehicle we use – the hypnotic induction – is in itself a powerful relaxation tool. The “Relaxation Induction,” which brings you into the trance or hypnotic state, releases tension from your mind and body and prepares the subconscious to receive the post-hypnotic suggestions that follow.

The sessions are recorded, so you can practice your relaxation skills and hear the positive suggestions again and again.

So, allow me to help you empower yourself to make the changes you desire in your life! A.T.
